What does a website actually cost?
Two options. Managed is $500 today, your first month free, then $200 a month, and that covers hosting, the domain, updates, your Google Business Profile and a free redesign every year. Handover is $1,500 once, the code base is yours, and there is nothing further to pay. Year one works out at $2,700 managed against $1,500 handover.
Who owns the website?
On the handover, you do, outright, including the source code. On the managed plan we host and maintain it, and if you cancel we release the site files to you within seven days. You are never locked out of your own site.
How long does it take?
You get a free mockup of your homepage usually the same day you ask. From the point you say go, most sites are live inside a week. The slowest part is almost always waiting on photos from you.
What if I want to cancel?
Cancel any time. There is no term and no cancellation fee. The monthly stops at the end of the period you have paid for and we release your site files within seven days.
Do I have to write anything?
No. We write the copy and you approve it. What we need from you is a fifteen-minute call and photos of your finished jobs. Phone photos are fine.
Will it actually show up on Google?
It is built to. Every service gets its own page, every town you cover gets its own page, and the pages carry the structured data search engines read. What nobody can honestly promise you is a ranking or a number of leads, because that depends on your competition, your reviews and how long the site has been up. Anyone who does promise it is guessing.
I already have a website. Is it worth replacing?
Only if the one you have is not bringing you work. Ask yourself whether your phone number is visible without scrolling on a phone, whether the towns you serve are named anywhere, and whether the photos are your jobs or stock. If all three are fine, keep it. If not, the mockup is free and you can compare them side by side.
Do you work with trades outside the five listed?
Sometimes, but the pages, the copy and the photo rules are tuned for concrete, roofing, HVAC, plumbing and electrical, so that is where the work is strongest. Ask and I will tell you honestly whether you are better off elsewhere.
Do I need to buy a domain first?
No. On the managed plan we register and renew it for you at no extra cost. If you already own one, we point it at the new site and nothing about your email changes.
What happens to my Facebook page?
Nothing. It stays exactly as it is and the site links to it, so the traffic you already have keeps working. For most contractors the site is the thing that catches the people Facebook never reaches.
